Dragons of Hilton Gravel Pits
A trip to Hilton Gravel Pits the other week was a great way to refresh for all of us. It was a chilly morning, but the sun was lovely and warm. It was a perfect conditions for a welly walk and perfect timing for a bit of funghi spotting. I can’t remember many funghi names, so here’s just some pretty ‘shroom photos.
The boys knew we had snacks, so it wasn’t long before The Farmer was filling his cheeks with banana.
We walked around the extra bit of footpath through the woods at the far end, I told the boys we had to tiptoe and look for the dragon. Of course this meant gathering stick swords to prepare themselves.
Being in the house seems a little more stressful these days, especially now we can’t easily run around the back garden. The boys seem to argue an awful amount, more than ever, although they do have times when they play nicely too, it’s just one extreme to the other. So getting out for some fresh air and wintery sun is exactly what we needed.
