Saving You From Insanity During School Summer Holidays

P1030184small

So this post is for a very specific audience.  For families that live in the south Derbyshire, North Leicestershire, edge of Nottinghamshire sort of place. Last year I drew out a spreadsheet of week by week events and places to visit to help keep my mind focussed on keeping myself and the boys happy throughout the summer holidays. Six weeks non-stop with a three and four year old can be very exhausting, so being as prepared as possible certainly helps.  This year I’ve written all our ideas down here as I’m sure their are many other parents in this situation.  The events are quick outlines of what’s on, giving you ideas of things to do, places to go.  They are places which I’d personally consider suitable for three and four year olds, with often just myself to control them. It’s a gathering of information of places we’ve been before or places we’d like to try.  Most of these listings are either free or have a small charge.  There are still many gaps which I hope to fill as I gather more info, so check back regularly.  Of course there are many other places to visit any day of the week such as the Beacon Hill, the splashpad and West Park, Pottery beach at Denby Pottery, Lount Nature Reserve and there’s loads more places listed with reviews in the Exploring category at the top. So please spread and share this list as much as possible to help save those in need!!
